Listen up music lovers. Get ready to rock and roll as AT&T has recently launched a new AT&T Music application that it will start setting up on its feature phones, including the LG Xenon, Samsung Solstice, and Samsung Impression.

This latest music application brings in 40 commercial free streaming radio stations, customizable radio stations, plus a song identification feature, lyrics, and over-the-air downloads. What’s more is that AT&T is working together with labels such as Sony Music Entertainment, EMI Music, and an indie outlet called The Orchard to make available of the tracks.

All’s well that ends well. AT&T and Verizon have both agreed to refrain from suing each other over Verizon’s “There’s A Map For That” commercials.

AT&T filed suit last month over allegedly “misleading” Verizon ads supposedly causing AT&T to suffer “irreparable harm.” The ads pointed out that Verizon’s 3G network covers more of the country geographically than AT&T’s, which is true.

Nonetheless, which is better? The battle all started with an advertisement; then again, it is inevitable to contend over service quality and pricing, like they should have given more attention to.  Considering AT&T lost its request to have Verizon’s ads pulled down for the holidays — spending money to take legal…

According to a survey released by Consumer Reports, out of 50,000 readers who were asked about their satisfaction to wireless carriers,  AT&T scored the lowest score in 19 of 26 U.S. cities while Verizon Wireless ranked the highest.

The findings give new validation to Verizon Wireless’ ad campaign that compares their 3G map side-by side with AT&T. It is still uncertain though that there is a possibility that opinions were swayed by this ad during the time the survey was conducted.

What the survey did confirm was that AT&T’s network problems extend beyond dense areas, such as New York City and the Bay Area. Users in 17 other cities ranked the carrier…
